Yes. All materials including oil paints, mediums, canvases, boards and paper are included in the price. Each student will be provided with 3 professional quality deep edge canvases (varying sizes) and two primed boards to work on and subsequently take home. Aprons and gloves will be available, though feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

Yes. There are a several hotels/b&bs in Harrogate. I'll include a list within the course information that you'll receive after booking. PLEASE NOTE: There may be occasion where I need to cancel or move a workshop due to unforseen cirmumstances (such as illness or insufficient numbers to run). As such, I would recommend booking accommodation that offers cancellation refunds, or waiting til nearer the workshop date before booking your accommodation. For this workshop, it will be necessary to transport your work home by car (if you are driving or can have someone pick you up). I would suggest laying them flat in the boot or back seat of your car, ideally on a protective sheet or newspaper. As you will have multiple pieces, I'll be happy to help you carry them out to your vehicle. Please get in touch if you think you may not have a vehicle on the day (if you're using public transport for example) and we can discuss alternative arrangements for collecting your work.

This two day course is aimed at artists that have some experience of abstract painting. Perhaps you are familiar with acrylics and would like to try oils? Or perhaps you'd like to develop your practice further through working on a series of paintings. If you are completely new to abstract/intuitive painting, I would recommend taking my One Day Workshop first. This workshop is suitable for students who have previously taken my Introduction to Intuitive Abstract Painting workshop, as it takes you on the next steps of developing your intuitive practice further. It’s not essential to have done my introductory workshop first however - if you already have some experience of intuitive/abstract painting, and would like to develop this approach further in your practice, then this workshop would be suitable for you too, especially if you like working with acrylics. If you prefer oils or would like to try oils, I would recommend my 2 Day Oil Painting Workshop. If you’re completely new to intuitive/abstract painting, I’d recommend my 1 Day Introductory Workshop, which is suitable for all levels.
